Oh…how I’ve missed sharing new words on Wednesday #WordSearchSeries.
We went on a break all April because of the #AtoZChallenge but we are back and we aim to please.
Today on #WordSearchSeries, we found Grotesquely and we found it while reading Ladieswholunchreviews, a blog that participated in the #AtoZChallenge as well.
Grotesquely is one of those words I see but never use. I saw it again on the first of April 2017 and decided it was time to check the meaning.
Here’s what I found out:
Depending on the statement, it can be used as an adjective – Grotesque
For example, Jim Carrey found the grotesque mask in The Mask Movie.
or as an Adverb – Grotesquely.
In a shockingly inappropriate manner.
For example, A judge who grotesquely abused his position.
In a comically or repulsively ugly or distorted manner.
For example, Sharon’s body was twisted grotesquely on the floor of her classroom, blood from her smashed left temple…..
Did you feel the chills, read the complete A for Apple entry. You’ll love it.
There you have it Lovelies, if grotesque/grotesquely is a word you do not use, it can be added your list.
I like that I find words that interest me when I read your blogs….
Trust me to share it on #WordSearchSeries once I spot it.
The last #WordSearchSeries had a topic for deliberation and I enjoyed reading your opinion on morning routines.
This is why I have included #WonderWednessday where we can also deliberate on topical issues.
This means every Wednesday, we will have #WordSearchSeries and #WonderWednessday.
Generous much? 😉
So for #WonderWednessday, I’m wondering…
Should interracial relationships still be an issue in the 21st century?
I finally watched Mum, Dad Meet Sam some months back and of course the storyline was what I expected. I did not write a review but here’s a summary.
A learned Nigerian man living in the UK falls in love with an ‘English’ lady, he takes her to meet his family in Nigeria and well…. there’s a dramatic mum.. lots of awkward situations…cultural differences e.t.c…I’ll leave your imagination to go wild but it is a romantic comedy i enjoyed watching.
As expected though, Love conquered all but you know only true love will be willing to go through thick and thin in order to stay together.
With the amout of exposure and civilisation, I would expect that parents or individuals should not have an issue with interracial or intertribal relationships…. Well, thats just me thinking…
In Nigeria, such issues are handled by both individual choices and parental consent.
But I’m still wondering….
Should interracial/intertribal relationships still be an issue in the 21st century?
I know some really cute interracial couples.
Please share your thoughts…
What are the advantages or adverse effects of interracial/intertribal relationship?
Are you in one?
Also tell me if ‘Grotesquely’ is a word you use often.
I’ll love to read from you.
