WordSearchSeries #11: Amity + Parents, Kids & Finance
Hi hi Hump day means #WordSearchSeries and #WonderWednessday on #phayteaspulse. Here’s how i found the word for this week. The other day while waiting at the reception area of a company i had an appointment in, I decided to go through a newspaper just to wile away time instead of scrolling through my phone. I had not read a newspaper in a really long time so that was a good opportunity to do so again. Every news is online so it’s amazing how the good ol’ newspaper seems irreplaceable. I know people who cannot have coffee every morning without going through the dailies. Honestly, i was only checking out the…

WordSearchSeries #7: Piety
Hi hi, It’s another wednesday and that means we have a new word to share on #WordSearchSeries. Quick bant: I had the busiest day at my job earlier today. Planned to write, edit then publish #WordSearchSeries at lunch time but that did not happen. I was only able to reply your comments on Not all wounds are visible which I totally appreciate and enjoy doing. (Please click if you haven’t read that article already). After dinner, I was about to take the couch potato position to catch up on Marido en alquiler which means Husband for Hire (its a spanish telenovela that has nothing to do with literally hiring a husband 😄😄)…

WordSearchSeries #5: Infantile
Hi hi…. I haven’t shared a new word since the 10th of February 2017, not because I didn’t find new words but because I’ve been super busy (not too busy to publish posts tho’, i find time) and trying to make a decision regarding when #WordSearchSeries should be published (I think that’s the main reason). Blogging Tip: I read that it is important to have a blog schedule so I have decided to share a new word on phaytea’s pulse every Wednesday. I also realised I’ve published two posts every week since January 2017…not bad if you ask me 😉😉 Today on #WordSearchSeries, i found Infantile. About two weeks ago,…

WordSearchSeries #3- FLEECING
Today on #WordSearchSeries, I came across Fleecing. While having regular conversations with the hubby, he mentioned I should check out a video he had watched on you tube by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie where she talked about the dangers of a single story. After my usual ‘shakara’ and asking what I stand to gain……..i went ahead to search for and watch the video. May I just say what you already know. Chimamanda is such an amazing public speaker and writer. I went on to stalk her throughout that day. I watched almost all videos that had her being interviewed, watched her book readings, it was a beautiful discovery for me. Prior…

WordSearchSeries #2 -PRECARIOUS
Today on #WordSearchSeries, i found the word Precarious. I have never used this word before nor have I heard someone say it to me until recently. At work the other day, my boss let me know we had to prepare a memo. I grabbed my pen and notepad and proceeded to get a brief. All was going well….. then he said Precarious. #NewWordAlert From the context of the statement he made, i figured it had to do with being unstable or dicey. I mentally made a note check the word later and of course share on #WordSearchSeries. After preparing the document and sending off to the receiving department, I grabbed…

WordSearchSeries #1- STALL
Today on #WordSearchSeries , I found the word Stall. I have always known and used the word ‘Stall’ as in – a tactics used to intentionally cause delay. I was not aware that Stall also has an aircraft related meaning. Here is how I found out. On this particular day, I was catching up with hubby and I mentioned it was difficult to meet up with a particular service provider because they were usually not open while heading to work in the morning and they would have closed by the time I am done with work after 1600hrs. I let him know my decision was to stall before leaving home…
