Get To Know Me Tag – Answering 20 Questions About Phaytea.
As someone who loves to create and share content here and other platforms, I must say it is sometimes a struggle trying to figure out what to keep away while curating content.
However, I like to keep a really close circle, but I also understand the importance of having a community that engages and relates with you.
In order to create an engaging community of blog readers, I’ll be answering 20 questions about myself on the website and save another another 20 which will be filmed for YouTube.
Here goes 20 Things About Me:
1. Where did you grow up?
I was born in Lagos, Nigeria and raised here as well.
2. What do you miss about your childhood?
I miss too many things about my childhood. I miss not worrying about anything and not paying bills.
I miss being driven and taken about, I miss getting almost everything I asked for. I miss playing with friends from childhood. I miss bible recitation in church and Christmas as a kid.
I could go on and on, but I am thankful for growth and the opportunity to take care of the people and things that matter.
3. What is your best color?
I have grown from loving royal blue to red. Currently, I alternate between burgundy and mustard (peep my brand colour).
4. Describe your me time?
There are a lot of things I love to do on my own. Some of the popular ones are:
Going to the movies alone, staying in bed with my phone or laptop, writing a blog post, carrying out administrative tasks on the website or just a quiet time to reflect.
I have always thought about going to the beach alone, stay until late evening, watch the sun set and head back home. I will not be doing this alone though because of the way the beaches in Lagos are set up.
5. Do you have a Favorite movie? Genre?
I can watch any type of movie, but romantic comedy movies get me all the time.
Favorite Movie is The Best Man Holiday.
6. What book are you currently reading ?
I did not reach my goal to read one book a month this year, but I am currently reading Mark Mason’s The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck.
It is a personal growth book that reminds you to avoid wasting time on the things that don’t matter.
Look past the book title and get a copy for yourself.
7. What skills have you learnt recently?
There are still a lot of things I want to learn, but I am really good at freelance / copy writing, content / newsletter creation, social media management and feed curation.
I have also worked hard at editing videos using basic editing apps. Glad at my progress.
Currently, I am learning to take better pictures with a DSLR and photo editing as well.
8. What are you pet peeves?
Bearing in mind that there is no perfect person, I try to be mindful when I react to things I do not like (this is difficult, but I make an effort to try).
I dislike insensitive people.
I dislike people who do not protect / respect other people’s privacy.
I cannot stand loud / lousy people. Perfect cue to keep your business away from them.
There are other ones I can easily ignore, but I absolutely detest these ones.
9. When are you your happiest?
I am happy when creating memories with people that I love.
I enjoy having fast internet speed and a full phone battery.
I love me some Oreos milkshake with white chocolate. Add a piece of red velvet cake and I’m in heaven.

10. How would you describe your fashion sense?
I love combining pieces that are comfortable and stylish. In my closet, you will find more body-con dresses, peplum tops, heels and jeans.
I do not always go with trends and I stick to outfits that are versatile.
I plan to add more colours to my wardrobe.
11. Are you single or in a relationship?
Married.
12. Describe yourself in 3 words?
Responsible, Thoughtful and confident.
13. What are your values in relation to friendship?
I have a really small circle, I respect people’s space and if I am told something in confidence, I understand the importance of maintaining trust. I also expect this level of commitment from people I decide to confide in.
In any relationship/ friendship, I desire and value Respect, Mindfulness, Genuine Support, Trust and Open Mindedness.
I try my best to give these as well.
14. What does family mean to you?
To me, family means more about loyalty than it is about blood relationship. For family, I also value the same things from question 13.
15. Introvert or extrovert?
I think I am a little bit of both, so that makes me an Ambivert.
I am quite playful around the right crowd and I can be very quiet too.
16. What makes a person unforgettable to you?
I think that a person becomes unforgettable when they sacrifice time and resources for my health, career and general wellbeing.
If this gesture extends to my mum as well, you’re definitely unforgettable.
I also love story tellers, find ways to have conversations that include story telling and you will always be in my mind.
17. One thing you wished people knew about you?
I am actually very playful.
I can also be very chatty, but 2 out of 10 times, you will find me being very quite and just observing.
18. What conversations can you have with little time to prepare?
I love to chat about music, movies, mental health, mindfulness, outfit ideas and work.
I also love conversations about decorating spaces and relationships.
19. You get my attention if…..
You can hold a conversation and not stutter. Sometimes, I intentionally wear a straight face and gaze into your eyes when I speak. I know it is naughty and unsettles some people, but I am naughty like that.
You eventually get my attention once I notice you are confident and not feeling uneasy.
You get my attention if you can have meaningful conversations and can answer questions. I ask questions a lot and once you feel like it’s a bother, I’m out.
20. When was the last time you cried?
There’s been plenty tears lately and it’s been a mixture is happy and sad tears. The most recent was triggered because I miss my dad and thought about him.
I enjoyed answering these questions and I look forward to answering 20 more questions, but this time for the YouTube channel.
