Style Pick: Wedding Guests at #BAAD2017.

Isn’t it lovely how you can seat in the comfort of you home and still attend an event from start to finish?

Sunday the 19th November 2017 was one of such days as Nigerians attended the traditional wedding ceremony of popular RnB Singer Bankole Wellington (BankyW) and Nigerian Actress Adesua Etomi without an actual invite….All thanks to SOCIAL MEDIA.

I talked about The Wedding Party, A record breaking movie were they were actually eachother’s love interest and then their ‘real life’ engagement in this post . It is just so lovely to see they are putting all the dots together.

The Couple

Considering the traditional was strictly by invitation, everyone who did not attend were kept abreast of all the activities via guests individual Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter account. All you had to do was search #BAAD2017 on social media.

I was particularly interested in the style choices of the Bride, Groom and Celebrities at the wedding and they all brought their A-Game to our delight.

Traditionally Hitched

In no particular order, here are a few styles I really loved.

Ebuka Obi Uchendu

I legit woke up this morning and felt like there was something I didn’t do yesterday. I had planned to go visit Ebuka’s page on instagram just to like his pictures. His outfit is stunning and he looked too dapper wearing it. This was one outfit that had Nigerians on twitter talking in unison. Everyone agreed it was very nice.

This is not your regular agbada and I feel like refusing to like this outfit is a crime.

Kemi Adetiba

I think it’s sweet that Kemi decided to play around with the grooms asoebi fabric instead of the fabric that was meant for the ladies. She was literally the only Lady in the midst of men and I liked that she fit in so well.

Kemi Adetiba

You need Kemi’s poise and confidence to rock a male outfit and look this good.

Can you spot Kemi?

Beverly Naya

I am not sure what it is but I really liked what Beverly made out of the wedding fabric. The black addition made the fabric easy on the eyes and this was my best look at the wedding. Not too risqué and still classy.

Toke Makinwa

I might be bias but I love Toke’s final look. She probably made this outfit last minute because we all know Toke has had it good  this year in terms of fashion. Not sure why I expected more from her but she did look good. Her jewelry is lovely as well.

Omawumi

Once a beauty queen, I guess it continues that way. I like that this outfit is classy but still accentuates her curves.

Osas Ighodaro Ajibade

Osas is proof that you can still look so good after having a baby. See how good she looks and I like how her fabric turned out.

Nancy Isime

This is nice but I’m only just here for the head wrap. Isn’t it lovely?

Ireti Doyle

Talk about a woman who is aging gracefully and you cannot help but mention Ireti. She is also has a key role in The Wedding Party and i like how she looks in this outfit.

In other news, The Wedding Party 2 will be in cinemas across Africa in 25 days and I am counting down.

Notice how these outfits are classy and still stylish?

There were lots of risqué outfits at the wedding and you just wonder what the criteria is when picking an outfit as a wedding guest.

Is there even an appropriate guide in choosing an outfit as a wedding guest?

This post right here is one of the reason i like Nigeria. Catch up on Nigeria @ 57 to find out more.
