Forgiveness is Freedom.

Phaytea’s Pulse is participating in the #AtoZChallenge for 2017. The Theme is ‘Awakening of Self’ and ‘Forgiveness is Freedom’ is our entry for letter F. The theme focuses on character traits that will gear us towards Meaningful Living and will run for 26 days in April except sundays. Please stop by the blog everyday for subsequent posts as we read the 26 letters of the alphabet together. Enjoy!!☺☺

We get offended and we also offend people.

It is inevitable and we do not always have control over the way things turn out.

What you do when you have so much emotions bottled up?

Hold a grudge?

Forgive and make up?

Forgive and never speak again?

Forgiveness is Freedom and to live a meaningful life, we must be free.

Free from anger, pain, worry, grudge and most of all we need to have peace of mind.

Forgiveness

I tried to write a poem for the first in a very long time (read that as when i was a kid) about forgiveness.

It shows the period of a quarrel/grudge, period of anger/ reliving past memories and realising why we should forgive.

Here goes:

What happens after a brawl

We are sad and filled with rage

The days begin to crawl

And we refuse to turn a new page

My heart is heavy still

Your plea you fail to give

Past memories try to instill

The sparks of love that still live

To agree we can fight

For peace we make things right

To err is human

To forgive is divine

-End-

Refusing to forgive makes us bitter no matter how much we try to ignore the hurt.

It takes time, it can be a painful process but we must let go of every bitterness while pursing our goals.
