Phayview #5: 3 Links You Will love
Oh how I’ve missed posting Phayview!!! In summary, Phayview is a post where I drop lovely or inspirational links to blogs or videos I read or watched during the week. It’s my way of appreciating the beautiful content created by creative minds. The first link I’m sharing is from a blog owned by Shirley Corder. She celebrated her 50th Wedding Anniversary this weekend and I couldn’t help but admire such huge milestone. She was nice to blog about her 50th Wedding Anniversary plans and also share 12 Points to Consider if you want your marriage to work. Whenever I stop by her blog, I always leave with new information. I read that…

My Reading List – August 2017
I was going to start this post by saying ‘Thank God it’s Friday’ then I remembered a thought I used to have when I was much younger. I always had the notion that those who say ‘TGIF’ only say it because they probably have plans to go clubbing or do those other things we know as ‘fun stuff’. Since I never really have huge party plans on Fridays, I always hesitate when I am about to say ‘Thank God it’s Friday’. It is a lot different now though because I now always look forward to Fridays….. If not for anything, I get to rest and have some me time. That…

WordSearchSeries #21: Humdinger || Couples who argue
Hey Fam… It is the first hump day in August and as scheduled #WordSearchSeries is coming right up. The word for today is Humdinger. Have you heard or used the word before? Not sure why, but humdinger feels like it will sit well in a nursery school rhyme or as a cartoon character….something like rumpelstiltskin (one of my favourite story book as a kid) or humpty dumpty. I came across this word on a blog and was curious as usual. Here’s what it means: Humdinger means a striking or extraordinary person or thing. A person or a thing that is noticeable because it is a very good example of its…

Pulse For August 2017
The first of every month is always very exciting for me. I feel I have just crossed a milestone and should celebrate. Today isn’t any different. I feel elated and thankful for the Gift of Life, Good Health and Loved ones. I am also excited about Phaytea’s Pulse and it’s lovely readers. Thank you all for stopping by and contributing, it makes the effort worth it. As I did in May, June and July, I will be sharing my Pulse for August but first here’s a rundown of how I fared in July: Post Scheduling & Pictures: I still write on impulse but the blog dairy helps. I get to put down my thoughts…

July 2017 Favourites
Hi Lovelies, did you have an interesting weekend? I didn’t get up to anything out of the ordinary this weekend and I feel like I should revisit my bucket list just to get ideas I can indulge in. August is hours away and I should really create some fun memories before the year ends. It is the last day in July and for some reason I woke up happy this morning. This is not to say I never have grumpy days but infact I think mornings are my best time of the day. If you are yet to get a hang of how to start your day, then I recommend you read 8…

WordSearchSeries#20: Masochist|| How long can you hold a grudge for?
Happy Hump day Lovelies….. For some reason it feels like a Friday but clearly it isn’t, so let’s learn a new word because it’s Wednesday. Today on #WordSearchSeries, we found Masochist. This word has been reoccurring in this spanish telenovela I’ve been watching (Can you tell I’m obsessed with Spanish telenovela’s? ). It is titled Los Miserables and a supposed love story where a couple keep hurting each other. In typical Phaytea Style, I looked for spoilers so I already know they finally got married. Isn’t love just beautiful? Masochist was repeated in last night’s episode and I decided to finally check the meaning. It means a person who is…

Achieving a Proper Work – Life Balance.
If you were asked to create a day between Saturday and Sunday, what will you call it? Still thinking? Honestly, there are times when I have said the weekend is too short and wished for a day in between Saturday and Sunday. We know for a fact that there will always be seven days in a week and I am sure it will never change. Since that’s the harsh reality, we have no choice but to face every new week and maybe play it out in the same old routine…..then on sunday night, we wish there was another day in between Saturday and Sunday. Isn’t it funny that sunday night…

I am sorry….not sorry
Hi hi It’s raining this morning and I like…. How do you feel when it rains? If you haven’t read ‘Can you stand the rain?, you definitely should. Did you have a good week? Mine turned out nice except for one ‘not so good’ experience. So i recently had an encounter that suddenly threw me off track. I was hurt but a few tears and venting to the right person got me back on track. Bottom line, I finally got an apology but then…is that it? Well, i am not asking for chocolates and roses (which isn’t a bad idea by the way) to go with an apology but personally,…

WordSearchSeries#19: Behemoth ~ Too much Info.
It’s another hump day fam and that means #WordSearchSeries is scheduled for today. The new word is Behemoth. This is a word I have heard before but never used. You know how you intentionally learn something so you can put it into practice, that’s exactly what i intend to do with this word. Find out the meaning of behemoth and add it in my vocabulary bag. Here’s what it means: Someone or something that is abnormally large or powerful. Behemoth can be used to describe a huge or monstrous creature. We were thrilled to watch the behemoth bear feed it’s cub. It can also be used to describe a person…

Can you stand the rain?
and I’m asking literally….. If you are anything close to me, then you are already humming to New Edition’ s ‘Can you stand the rain’. I love songs that kind of ‘speak to your soul’ (is that a weird description?)…. but I totally fell in love with this song again in the movie ‘The Best Man Holiday’. That was my best movie for a long time. Talking about rain, do you like the rainy season? It’s been raining a lot in Lagos (it’s the season so there’s no suprise at all) and I think it’s beginning to tell on my usual active self. For instance, I always want to be…
